Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Property Manager / Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AppFolio and QuickBooks, and will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of our property management business. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who is capable of implementing and managing full-cycle accounting processes, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Owner Distributions:

Prepare and execute accurate and timely owner draws.

Ensure all supporting documentation is in order and compliant.

Accounting & Reconciliation:

Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit cards.
-
Maintain general ledger and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Oversee tenant and owner accounting, including trust accounting compliance.

Software Expertise:

Utilize AppFolio to manage day-to-day property accounting operations.

Integrate and sync data between AppFolio and QuickBooks to maintain accurate records.

Invoice & Payables Management:

Upload, code, and pay invoices using AppFolio.

Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries and maintain W-9 and 1099 records.

Accounting Systems & Best Practices:

Build, document, and implement end-to-end accounting workflows.

Establish best practices for reporting, reconciliations, and cash flow management.

Reporting & Compliance:

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders and owners.

Assist with tax preparation and liaise with external accountants as needed.
