Role Purpose
We are a scaling beverage business operating in Australia and the UK, selling through major retailers, distributors and DTC channels. We are moving toward a simplified global operating model.
You will run the operational finance engine of the business: rebuild financial systems and forecasting models, own cashflow, implement budgeting and month-end discipline, manage outsourced bookkeepers, and provide commercial insights that drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Finance System & Process Ownership
● Implement a unified finance operating model across AU & UK.
● Improve and capture key finance processes for Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Inventory-to-COGS to ensure financial integrity end-to-end.
● Standardise our ways of working across Australia and UK regions
● Integrate Xero, inventory platforms, Shopify/Amazon and 3PL/fulfilment into one reliable source of truth.
● Build finance SOPs and dashboards to remove manual, ad-hoc reporting.
2. Cashflow Leadership (Short & Long Term)
● Rebuild the integrated AU/UK weekly operational cashflow model.
● Rebuild the monthly 12–36 month cashflow model for long-term budgeting and capital raising.
● Provide clear visibility of runway, risks and opportunities to leadership.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Discipline
● Lead annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
● Apply scenario modelling across retail, DTC, pricing, trade spend and FX.
● Implement cost controls and ensure full visibility of every dollar spent to ensure we are running a tight ship
4. Month-End & Reporting
● Own the global month-end close.
Deliver monthly reporting packs including:
○ Entity/channel P&L
○ SKU margin & contribution
○ Inventory & COGS
Trade spend effectiveness
Cashflow & runway
● Present insights and recommended actions
5. Reconciliations & Financial Hygiene
● Ensure full reconciliations across:
○ Banks / gateways (Shopify/Amazon/PayPal/Stripe) / inventory / 3PL/fulfilment
● Maintain a clean balance sheet.
● Review bookkeeping outputs, ledger coding and allocations.
● Oversee AP/AR discipline and VAT/BAS compliance.
6. S&OP Financial Leadership
● Support in implementing global S&OP process including demand forecasting,
inventory run-rates, purchasing and supply plans.
● Ensure operational decisions align with cash, margin and working capital guardrails.

Required Experience & Skills
● 5+ years in Finance Manager / FP&A / operational finance roles.
● Proven ability to build systems and models, not just operate them.
● Multi-entity or cross-market experience (AU/UK ideal).
● Strong knowledge of:
○ cashflow planning
○ COGS & landed cost
○ SKU economics
○ Ecommerce economics
○ trade spend
● Advanced Excel/Sheets modelling.
● Experience with Xero and ecommerce/retail financial data.

● Weekly cashflow accuracy ±10%
