Remote Bookkeeper – Multi-Business Operations | Immediate Start | Permanent Position

Job Description: You’ll play a pivotal role in transforming manual financial processes into automated, efficient systems that drive business success. This isn’t just data entry - you’ll be architecting the financial infrastructure for two distinct businesses, implementing QuickBooks workflows that will save hours of manual work each month. You’ll work independently while collaborating closely with the business owner to establish sustainable bookkeeping practices that support long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
- Transition manual Excel-based expense tracking into comprehensive QuickBooks system for both businesses
- Set up and configure automated credit card feeds to QuickBooks for seamless expense categorization
- Categorize and organize expenses across multiple credit cards for restaurant and real estate operations
- Extract and organize revenue data from Toast POS system for restaurant operations
- Track and categorize rental income from diverse payment sources (digital payments and traditional methods)
- Maintain separate accounting workflows for restaurant versus real estate investment activities
- Establish ongoing bookkeeping processes and procedures for sustained efficiency
- Collaborate with external tax accountant by providing organized, accurate financial data
- Implement and maintain multi-entity accounting best practices
Requirements:

Proven experience with QuickBooks setup, configuration, and ongoing management.

Skilled at expense categorization and understand small business bookkeeping fundamentals.

Work independently and manage multiple ongoing responsibilities effectively with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Bonus - multi-entity or multi-business accounting experience.

Familiar with restaurant POS systems, especially Toast, and have experience with credit card integration and automated feeds in accounting software.
