Join a rapidly growing Australian landscape design firm dedicated to creating high-end, stunning outdoor environments. Our client specializes in bespoke gardens, complex landscapes, and luxury pool areas. With 20–30 active projects at any given time, they're are scaling fast and looking for a designer who doesn't just "draft," but truly leads the creative process. You will work directly with the founder to transform outdoor spaces into works of art.
The Role: Creative Autonomy & Design Leadership
We are not looking for a technician; we are looking for a Landscape Designer with a voice. In this role, you will be given the creative freedom to take a project from an initial concept to a final, breathtaking visualization.
You will be expected to work independently, provide your own professional opinions on design aesthetics and functionality, and take full ownership of your projects. If you are a designer who thrives when given the reins and enjoys the challenge of managing multiple high-stakes projects, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities

Lead the Design Process: Manage projects from initial concept through to final design for gardens, landscapes, and pools.

Technical Precision: Create detailed, high-quality 2D technical plans and drawings exclusively using Vectorworks.

Visualization: Develop compelling 3D renderings and visualizations that "sell" the dream to the client.

Independent Decision Making: Provide expert design opinions and creative solutions; you are expected to contribute to the "why" behind the design, not just the "how."

Project Management: Coordinate 20–30 active projects simultaneously at various stages of completion.

Client Interaction: Handle direct communication with clients regarding design feedback, revisions, and project updates.

Direct Collaboration: Partner with the company founder to refine the brand’s design language and strategy.
Requirements

Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or landscape design.

Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks is non-negotiable. You must be able to hit the ground running with this tool. 2-3 years knowledge minimum.

Creative Mindset: A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to design beautiful, functional outdoor spaces.

Independence: Proven ability to work autonomously and the confidence to offer professional design critiques and suggestions.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills for seamless client interaction.

Multitasking: The ability to stay organized and maintain quality while handling a high volume of concurrent projects.

Bonus Skills: Experience with Enscape or D5 Render is a significant plus. Familiarity with Australian plants and landscape regulations is highly regarded.
