Job Description: You’ll be the financial backbone supporting a thriving advisory practice as they scale their operations. This role puts you at the center of essential business processes, working directly with company directors to maintain accurate financial records across multiple client accounts. You’ll have the autonomy to manage critical bookkeeping functions while contributing to proposal development and administrative excellence. Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes across multiple client portfolios
- Prepare monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS) with accuracy and attention to regulatory requirements
- Handle accounting journals and execute month-end accruals to ensure financial accuracy
- Support proposal preparation and assembly to help win new business opportunities
- Maintain comprehensive financial records using Xero accounting software
- Collaborate directly with company directors on financial reporting and administrative tasks
- Contribute to streamlined operations that support the firm’s continued growth trajectory
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Xero accounting software and Australian bookkeeping practices
- Excel/Spreadsheet proficient
- Strong foundation in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping functions
- Experience working with companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) is an advantage
- Experienced with Australian BAS preparation, including data entry and reporting processes
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication
- Bonus if you have experience supporting professional services firms or financial advisory practices
