Technical Support Representative (Level 1)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM NZT (1-hour unpaid break)

 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a technically inclined Technical Support Representative to provide first-level support to customers across multiple brands in New Zealand, with future support for Australia as operations expand. This role is customer-facing and phone-based, focused on delivering an excellent first-touch experience, accurate issue logging, and effective escalation when required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound customer support calls and provide Level 1 technical assistance

  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and guide customers through resolutions

  • Accurately log, update, and maintain support tickets and customer records

  • Escalate issues to higher-level support teams when necessary, following defined procedures

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers at all times

  • Ensure a positive and consistent customer experience across all supported brands

  • Follow support processes, SLAs, and documentation standards

  • Assist with basic system checks, account verification, and service inquiries

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in a technical support, helpdesk, or IT support role

  • Comfortable handling phone-based customer support

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage call queues effectively

  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting multiple brands or business units

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and CRM tools

  • Exposure to telecommunications, IT services, or managed services environments
