Job Description: You’ll be the critical first point of contact for potential clients seeking legal representation, making a real difference in people’s lives when they need it most. This essential role puts you at the center of the firm’s client acquisition process, where your professional communication and intake expertise directly impact the firm’s ability to help clients and grow the practice.
Responsibilities
- Handle all incoming phone calls and serve as the primary client contact point
- Conduct comprehensive initial intake processes for potential legal cases
- Route calls efficiently to appropriate team members based on case type and attorney expertise
- Maintain detailed knowledge of personal injury and civil litigation case requirements
- Provide empathetic, professional communication with prospective clients during difficult situations
- Support the firm’s business development through effective client screening and qualification
- Integrate seamlessly with existing Vonage Business phone system and call routing protocols
- Document intake information accurately to support case evaluation and follow-up processes
Requirements
- Excellent English fluency and outstanding verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with legal practice operations and terminology
- Knowledge of personal injury and civil litigation case types and procedures
- Professional phone manner with ability to handle sensitive client situations
- Ability to work dedicated Eastern Time hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST)
- Quick learning ability to master firm-specific intake procedures and case routing
- Bonus if you have previous legal intake or client service experience
- It helps if you’re comfortable with phone system technology and call management tools
