Job Overview:
This role is all encompassing and is responsible for the day-to-day processing of all tax filings and forms, quality and compliance and achieving departmental targets. The Payroll Officer (Compensation & Benefits) will process with data as received from the approved payroll, ensuring all deductions are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance
with government regulations.
This person will be expected to communicate immediately and efficiently any queries/challenges they may experience
The ability to be organized, plan efficiently and balance multiple priorities will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
-Access & download approved payrolls for processing tax filings and accompanying forms
-Send out all deductions to Vendor Houses (Non Banks)
-Upload completed deductions listings to Sharefile
-Update and maintain client files with both listings/filings and PoP in Sharefile
-Monitor and respond to emails in a timely manner
-Coordinate with other team members in accordance with set priorities.
-Provide information by answering questions and requests
-Identify and recommend updates/improvements to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures based on departmental needs
-Perform accurate, correct, and timely calculations and troubleshoot any issues that arise
-Provide daily updates to Payroll Supervisor on progress, deficiencies, improvements, etc.
-Ensure a high standard of service delivery to clients by providing quality service
-Ensure target and performance indicators are achieved in accordance with departmental objectives
-Prepare and submit monthly reports as required
-Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

-Ability to learn new systems
-Reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments, with an ability to set realistic goals, problem-solve and establish work priorities
-Demonstrated skills and experience in training coordination/course design.
