Job Description: You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for Australian small business clients while building direct relationships through professional communication. This position offers the perfect blend of technical bookkeeping work and client-facing administrative support, with clear growth potential as the business expands. You’ll work with diverse clients using different accounting systems, making each day varied and engaging while developing expertise in Australian business practices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping tasks using Xero, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and MYOB accounting systems
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Maintain and update accounting systems with current financial data
• Prepare financial records for Australian tax lodgements and compliance requirements
• Handle administrative tasks related to client management and business operations
• Manage clients with varying system requirements, including those without formal accounting systems

Requirements:

• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and MYOB accounting software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records
• Experience with bank reconciliation processes
• Basic client communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with Australian tax preparation requirements preferred
• Bonus if you have experience working with Australian small businesses
