Job Overview: You’ll take ownership of comprehensive bookkeeping operations for a growing private equity and property management firm. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse real estate investments while managing complex multi-entity financial structures. You’ll collaborate directly with the financial leadership team and play a crucial role in supporting the company’s continued growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable for property management operations
- Handle vendor payments and owner draw distributions across multiple investment entities
- Conduct thorough auditing of expense and invoice trails for accuracy and compliance
- Manage bookkeeping operations across several bank accounts and inter-company transactions
- Perform full cycle bookkeeping, including monthly close procedures and financial reporting
- Support various financial projects and ad-hoc analysis as business needs arise
- Maintain accurate records for multiple investment entities with complex ownership structures
- Collaborate with an external CPA firm for tax preparation and compliance coordination
Requirements:
- 5+ years of senior-level bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
- Advanced Excel skills (required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities simultaneously
- Bonus if you have real estate or property management industry experience
- It helps if you have investment or private equity experience
- Experience with property management software (Buildium preferred, AppFolio or similar acceptable)
