We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support a growing entrepreneur managing multiple small businesses. In this role, you will bring structure and clarity to disorganized financial records, establish reliable bookkeeping systems, and provide ongoing financial management. Job Highlights

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 20 hours per week
Schedule:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM EST

  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM EST

  • Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM EST

Responsibilities

  • Clean up and reconcile existing financial records for two separate business entities

  • Establish and maintain accurate bookkeeping systems using QuickBooks

  • Process employee payroll and manage ongoing financial transactions

  • Sync and reconcile bank account transactions with proper categorization

  • Provide guidance on monthly and quarterly bookkeeping requirements and best practices

  • Support tax preparation by organizing and maintaining complete financial documentation

  • Educate and mentor the business owner on proper financial record management

  • Maintain consistent, ongoing bookkeeping operations to prevent future disorganization


Requirements

  • Extensive QuickBooks experience with expert-level navigation skills

  • Proven experience cleaning up disorganized financial records for small businesses

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including monthly and quarterly requirements

  • Experience with payroll processing and employee payment systems

  • Excellent communication skills to guide and educate non-financial business owners

  • Bonus: Experience working with multiple business entities simultaneously

  • Comfortable working with clients who require extra guidance and hands-on support


Side Note

Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
