The Opportunity:
We are looking for a pioneering and data-driven SEO & AIO Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the architect of organic growth across a diverse portfolio of brands. Your mission is to evolve our search strategy beyond traditional rankings to dominate the new landscape of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
You won’t just be chasing "blue links" on Google; you will ensure our clients are the cited "source of truth" in AI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) and Featured Snippets.
The ideal candidate is a hybrid: part technical wizard, part creative strategist, and part futurist. You have a proven track record in traditional SEO but have already pivoted your approach to focus on entities, E-E-A-T, and conversational search.
Key Responsibilities:
- Holistic Search Strategy (SEO + AIO): Develop full-funnel strategies that encompass traditional organic search as well as optimization for LLMs (Large Language Models). You will determine how our brands appear in traditional results and AI-generated summaries.
- Entity-First Content Strategy: Move beyond simple keyword density. Plan content maps based on Entities and Topic Clusters to help search engines and AI models understand the relationships between our brands and key industry concepts.
- High-Value Content Creation: Write and edit high-level content (landing pages, articles, white papers) focused on "Information Gain"—providing unique stats, human angles, and insights that AI cannot replicate, ensuring our content is worth citing.
- Schema & Knowledge Graph Optimization: Go deep on technical SEO by implementing advanced Schema markup (JSON-LD) to clearly define our brand entities, authors, and services to search bots and AI crawlers.
- Authority & Digital PR: Lead "Digital PR" initiatives to build high-authority backlinks and brand mentions. You will focus on building E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) to verify our clients as trusted sources for AI citations.
- AIO Auditing: regularly audit the brand's presence across Answer Engines (e.g., asking ChatGPT questions about the brand) and implement strategies to improve sentiment and factual accuracy in AI responses.
- Analytics & Adaptation: Monitor traditional metrics (GA4, GSC, Semrush) alongside emerging signals (brand mentions, zero-click searches). Translate complex data into actionable pivots for the content team.
Requirements:
- Elite Writing Skills: You are a writer first. You can produce clean, persuasive copy that engages humans while being structured for machines.
- 3+ years of experience in SEO/Content Marketing, with a clear understanding of the recent shift toward SGE (Search Generative Experience) and AIO.
- Portfolio Management: Experience managing strategy for multiple brands simultaneously, adapting tone and tactics to different industries.
- Deep Understanding of LLMs: You understand how Large Language Models (like GPT-4) retrieve and synthesize information (RAG - Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and how to optimize content to be picked up by them.
- Entity SEO Knowledge: You understand the difference between a keyword and an entity, and you know how to build a knowledge graph strategy.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Schema.org markup, technical audits (Screaming Frog, Sitebulb), and core web vitals.
- Tool Stack: Expertise in Semrush/Ahrefs is a must. Experience with AI tools (for workflow efficiency, not just generating copy) is highly preferred.
- Adaptability: The search landscape changes weekly. You must be an agile learner who stays ahead of Google algorithm updates and AI advancements.
