Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records by recording purchases, sales, receipts, and payments using QuickBooks or Xero

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, invoicing, and collections

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to identify discrepancies

  • Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

  • Support payroll processing by maintaining employee records and tracking hours worked

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering financial data

  • Handle financial information with strict confidentiality and ensure data privacy compliance

  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc bookkeeping and accounting tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 1–2 years of experience using QuickBooks or Xero preferred

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles (debits, credits, journal entries, financial statements)

  • High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong analytical skills to review financial data and identify trends

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related applications

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Side Note:
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. Professional fees are on hourly rates and depend on performance in the application process.
