Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong data entry skills to manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, meticulous, and experienced with Xero and QuickBooks. This role requires a proactive professional who can work independently while maintaining high accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities

Record and categorize daily financial transactions in Xero and QuickBooks

Perform accurate data entry for invoices, bills, receipts, and expenses

Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts regularly

Maintain organized financial records and documentation

Prepare basic financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow summaries)

Assist with bookkeeping clean-up and catch-up projects as needed

Ensure compliance with internal bookkeeping processes and accounting best practices

Communicate with team members regarding discrepancies or missing information

Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and client data
Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, or similar role

Strong knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)

Excellent data entry accuracy and strong attention to detail

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles (AR/AP, reconciliations, journals)

Comfortable using cloud-based accounting and file management tools

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Experience supporting accounting firms or CFO advisory businesses
