Social Media Specialist

Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm AEST. 

Client Timezone: Australian Eastern Time (Brisbane)

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media  Specialist to manage our social media presence and produce visually compelling content. This role combines content creation, graphic design, and campaign execution to strengthen brand identity, increase engagement, and support website visuals. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organised, and excited to contribute creatively to a growing brand.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and grow social media accounts across key platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)

  • Design visual assets and artwork for posts, stories, ads, and campaigns

  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging social media content aligned with brand guidelines

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, promotions, and content calendars

  • Collaborate with the web developer to support website visuals, banners, and design elements

  • Ensure all content is polished, consistent, and aligned with brand identity

  • Contribute creative ideas and help shape the brand’s visual direction


What We’re Looking For

  • A creative thinker with a strong eye for design and visual storytelling

  • Proven experience managing social media for a business or brand

  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or similar tools

  • Ability to independently create high-quality visual content and artwork

  • Comfortable collaborating with web developers and cross-functional teams

  • Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and interested in long-term growth with the role


Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience designing website graphics or supporting web projects

  • Understanding of branding, content strategy, and campaign planning

  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, lifestyle, or retail industries
