Job Description:

You’ll be at the forefront of sports technology, combining your passion for basketball with data analysis to help teams gain competitive insights. Using proprietary annotation software, you’ll watch basketball games and meticulously capture every key moment – from shots and rebounds to assists and steals. Your work directly contributes to team performance improvements and shapes how sports analytics are conducted across the industry. Responsibilities:

• Watch basketball game footage and annotate events in real-time using custom software
• Mark precise timestamps for basketball events including shots, rebounds, assists, steals, and other key plays
• Record shot outcomes (successful or missed) during comprehensive game annotation
• Process complete games from start to finish with meticulous attention to detail
• Use proprietary annotation tools to capture detailed statistical data
• Maintain accuracy standards while processing game footage efficiently
• Adapt to on-demand work flow as client games are uploaded to the platform

 

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of basketball rules, terminology, and gameplay mechanics
• Understanding of basketball statistics including points, rebounds, assists, and steals
• Ability to maintain focus during extended periods of game footage review
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate timestamp and event recording
• Comfortable learning and using new computer software and annotation tools
• Reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work
• Bonus if you have experience with data entry or sports analysis
• It helps if you’re familiar with AFL rules and gameplay as well
