Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week, 4 hours per day Monday-Friday) with potential to scale to full-time (40 hours per week) based on performance and business growth

Job Description: You’ll spearhead lead generation and sales for one of the fastest-growing segments in the electrical industry – backup generators. This role puts you at the forefront of helping homeowners and businesses secure reliable power solutions during outages. You’ll own the entire front-end sales process, from identifying qualified prospects to nurturing them through to quote-ready status. With the backup power market exploding and this company positioned for growth, you’ll have the opportunity to build something meaningful while earning strong commissions on your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate qualified leads for backup generator installations through targeted prospecting
  • Conduct initial outreach and discovery conversations with potential customers
  • Qualify prospects based on their backup power needs and budget capacity
  • Guide leads through the sales process up to the quote presentation stage
  • Schedule and coordinate smooth handoffs to the owner for final closing
  • Maintain detailed records of all prospect interactions and pipeline status
  • Follow up consistently with warm leads to maintain momentum and engagement
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships and generate referrals

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and natural ability to build rapport with prospects
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Sales aptitude and comfort with consultative selling approaches
  • Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
  • Bonus if you have experience in residential or commercial electrical services
  • It helps if you understand the backup power market or generator technology
  • Bonus if you have experience with CRM systems or lead management tools
