Job Description
You’ll play a crucial role in business development by managing the contract bidding process for a thriving transportation company. While the owner focuses on service delivery and driving safely, you’ll handle the repetitive but essential task of securing new business through strategic bidding. This role offers the chance to directly impact revenue growth while working with a transparent, growth-minded business owner who values long-term partnerships and provides comprehensive training.

Responsibilities

  • Log onto the company’s bid board platform daily to review available contracts
  • Submit bids on appropriate transportation contracts following established guidelines
  • Send follow-up messages to potential clients after submitting bids
  • Upload won contracts and scheduling information to the company calendar system
  • Review and evaluate 200-500 daily contract opportunities to identify the best matches
  • Maintain organized records of bidding activity and outcomes
  • Participate in comprehensive training on bidding processes and company standards
  • Collaborate directly with the business owner for ongoing support and guidance

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific bidding procedures
  • Comfortable with web-based platforms and basic computer navigation
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently
  • Excellent written communication skills for client messaging
  • Bonus if you have experience with bidding platforms or contract management
  • It helps if you’re comfortable with calendar management systems
