Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Video Editor & Social Media Content Specialist to support our growing digital presence. This role is ideal for a highly capable, self-sufficient creative professional who can confidently manage video editing and social media content creation with minimal supervision.
You will be responsible for editing long-form YouTube videos, creating engaging social media content, maintaining strong brand consistency, and supporting organic growth initiatives across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, a creative mindset, and the ability to proactively contribute ideas and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing
- Edit YouTube videos (10–15 minutes) using Adobe Premiere Pro, delivering polished, professional-quality content
- Apply clean cuts, transitions, captions, light animations, and basic motion graphics where appropriate
- Ensure videos align with brand tone, pacing, and visual standards
Social Media Content Creation
- Design and produce social media content using Canva for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Create carousels, reels, short-form videos, and other platform-appropriate formats
- Develop and maintain brand consistency across all social channels
- Implement organic growth strategies and support community engagement
Strategy & Collaboration
- Provide strategic input on content ideas, formats, and emerging social media trends
- Work directly with the business owner for content planning, feedback, and approvals
- Recommend improvements to content performance, structure, and visual presentation
Marketing Admin Support
- Handle general administrative tasks related to marketing activities
- Assist with scheduling, organising content assets, and maintaining content calendars
Requirements
- Proven experience with Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent professional video editing software)
- Strong proficiency in Canva for social media design
- Demonstrated experience creating content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Strong portfolio showcasing video editing, social media content, and animations
- Skilled in basic social media animations and motion elements
- Solid understanding of platform best practices and content optimisation
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and provide recommendations without constant supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely
