Schedule
- Monday–Friday; Must overlap with Cyprus business hours (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM EET) Includes a 1-hour break; 8 hours per day
Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation of audit working-paper shells, including permanent/current files, trial balance imports, and cross-referencing
- Draft and track standard audit requests, such as bank, legal, and loan confirmations, while ensuring all opening balances are accurately tied out
- Execute detailed walkthroughs and document process notes for key financial cycles including revenue, purchases, and payroll
- Perform rigorous audit procedures including sampling, vouching, analytical reviews, and foreign-currency remeasurements
- Prepare and maintain complex reconciliations for bank accounts, AR/AP, fixed assets, and VAT, ensuring full roll-forward logic
- Draft actionable audit findings using the issue-cause-impact-recommendation framework and propose necessary adjustments
- Assist in drafting financial statements, disclosure checklists, and management letter points using established firm templates
- Promptly clear review notes and finalize all documentation to maintain "review-ready" status throughout the audit lifecycle
- Adhere to firm methodologies and version control standards while proactively communicating risks and progress to the Senior Auditor
Requirements
- With at least 3 years of experience in audit or assurance roles with a focus on compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience preparing audit working papers and performing substantive procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation quality
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior team members
- Strong written and professional communication skills
- Knowledge of CaseWare is a plus
