Role Overview
We are seeking a high-level Senior Accountant with strong experience in consolidated accounting to support a holding company with 7 entities. This role will be fully dedicated to one client but will involve managing multiple sets of books, requiring a strong understanding of intercompany transactions, consolidations, and financial reporting.
This position is ideal for someone with proven expertise in multi-entity accounting and GAAP standards, who can operate independently and contribute to building scalable, accurate financial processes.
Work schedule: 40hrs per week, Monday - Friday, 10am to 6pm with 30 minutes paid break | Pacific Time

Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting Functions
- Process and categorize transactions weekly for a major logistics client
- Execute comprehensive month-end close procedures, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards
- Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records across multiple entities
Consolidation & Multi-Entity Accounting
- Manage accounting for a holding company with multiple entities
- Perform consolidated financial reporting, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all entity books
- Support multi-entity cleanup projects and historical adjustments
Operations & Process Support
- Prepare month-end close support documentation and coordinate data pulls
- Handle settlement reports and expense templates for logistics/trucking operations
- Assist in developing KPIs, reporting frameworks, and time budgeting metrics
- Support client migrations and ongoing system/process improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with demonstrated strength in month-end close
- Proven experience in consolidated accounting (required)
- Strong knowledge and practical application of GAAP
- Experience managing multi-entity accounting environments
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (certification preferred)
- Experience with high-volume transaction processing and complex categorization
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills, with the potential to interact with clients
- Ability to work full-time hours aligned with Pacific Time
Nice to Have
- CPA or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with holding companies or group structures
- Experience in financial cleanup projects and tax preparation support
- Familiarity with process improvement and system implementation
