Senior Flutter Engineer – Digital Accessibility Specialist | Remote | Ongoing Opportunity

Job Description:

You’ll combine your senior-level Flutter expertise with meaningful accessibility work that makes a real difference. This role puts you at the forefront of digital inclusion, where you’ll ensure applications are not just functional, but truly accessible to users with disabilities. Client Overview:

A forward-thinking accessibility consulting firm dedicated to making digital experiences inclusive for everyone. They specialize in ensuring websites and applications meet accessibility standards so individuals with disabilities can fully access and interact with digital content. Their work directly impacts people’s lives while promoting digital inclusion across various industries. 

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm with one hour of unpaid break
• Client Timezone: EST

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Flutter applications with accessibility as a core focus
• Implement comprehensive accessibility standards and best practices in all development work
• Ensure proper deployment of websites and applications for users with disabilities
• Collaborate directly with accessibility consulting specialists on client projects
• Conduct accessibility audits and remediation of existing Flutter applications
• Stay current with evolving accessibility guidelines and Flutter accessibility features
• Participate in technical discussions and planning sessions for accessibility implementations
• Document accessibility implementations and create guidelines for future development

Requirements:

• Senior-level Flutter development experience with proven track record
• Strong expertise in digital accessibility standards and implementation (non-negotiable)
• Deep understanding of WCAG guidelines and accessibility testing methodologies
• Experience making websites and applications accessible to individuals with disabilities
• Ability to pass technical interviews focused on accessibility knowledge
• Bonus if you have experience with accessibility testing tools and screen readers
• It helps if you have worked with consulting firms or client-facing projects
