The firm consists of a principal solicitor supported by a dedicated team of paralegals. They manage a growing client base across multiple Australian states, pride themselves on seamless transaction management, and utilize modern legal tech to deliver top-tier results.

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM AEST (Sydney Time), with 1-hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities
- Conveyancing & Settlements: Prepare and review complex settlement statements with 100% accuracy for both numerical data and legal text.
- PEXA Management: Process digital settlements using the PEXA (Property Exchange Australia) platform and manage all associated digital documentation.
- Contract Drafting: Draft and review contracts, deeds, and legal instruments, ensuring zero errors in formatting, legal terminology, and calculations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Calculate and verify stamp duty requirements across various Australian states (NSW, VIC, QLD, etc.) for diverse property transactions.
- Client Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact, answering phone calls and responding to inquiries regarding transaction status with professional courtesy.
- Practice Management: Manage document workflows and maintain organized, audit-ready client files using practice management software (e.g., Smokeball).
- Cross-State Coordination: Ensure all state-specific lodgments and legislative requirements are met for multi-jurisdictional matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or an equivalent recognized legal qualification.
- 2–3 years of paralegal experience specifically in Australian conveyancing, contract law, or wills and estates.
- Exceptional Numerical Accuracy: Demonstrated ability to handle financial figures and settlement adjustments without error.
- Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal English skills for high-stakes professional client interactions.
- Tech Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) and Google Meet.
- Ability to work the full Sydney business day (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM AEST) reliably.
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience using the PEXA settlement platform (Highly Regarded).
- Experience with Smokeball or similar legal practice management software (Preferred).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian stamp duty systems and state-based conveyancing legislation (Preferred).
