Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Cold Caller focused on identifying and qualifying business owners interested in selling their companies. This role requires conducting conversational outreach to decision-makers of businesses valued between one million to four million dollars. The position offers potential for long-term engagement with opportunities to expand into additional lead generation projects across multiple business verticals.

Client Overview

The client is an investment firm focused on acquiring established businesses in Florida. The company specializes in purchasing businesses from retiring owners and executing bolt-on acquisitions to grow their portfolio.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST, with 1 hour break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Outbound Outreach: Conduct calls to business owners using provided lead lists to gauge interest in selling their companies.
  • Lead Qualification: Engage in conversational dialogue to gather key information including employee count, revenue, profit margins, and business history.
  • Appointment Setting: Qualify warm leads and schedule appointments via a calendar system for interested owners.
  • Data Management: Input qualified lead information and detailed call notes into the company CRM system (Podio).
  • Lead Nurturing: Conduct follow-up calls to maintain engagement with prospects who are not immediately ready to sell but have expressed interest.
  • Multi-Channel Support: Participate in outreach campaigns, including potential text and email blasts, to supplement calling efforts.
  • Research: Perform additional research to locate alternative contact information for business owners when needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B cold calling or business development outreach with success in conversational selling.
  • Excellent English communication skills with the ability to engage in natural, consultative conversations beyond scripted dialogue.
  • Strong ability to build rapport with senior-level decision-makers while maintaining professionalism and credibility.
  • Experience using CRM systems to document lead information and maintain organized records.
  • Comfortable discussing business concepts including revenue, profit, acquisitions, and confidentiality agreements.

Qualifications

  • Experience calling business owners for investment, acquisition, or high-value B2B sales (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with skip tracing or lead research to locate prospect contact information (Preferred).
  • Previous experience using the Podio CRM platform (Preferred).
  • Background working with real estate investors or distressed property outreach campaigns (Preferred).

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
