E-commerce Shopify Assistant

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented E-commerce Assistant to support the digital operations of a unique antique e-commerce business. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing high volumes of product photography, creating and optimizing Shopify listings, and supporting social media content creation. Because every item is unique, accuracy and attention to detail are essential when presenting product descriptions, images, and condition details. This role blends structured e-commerce work with creative presentation and offers strong growth potential as the business continues to expand its online marketplace presence.

Client Overview

This growing business specializes in sourcing unique antique pieces from Europe and offering them to customers across the United States through online platforms. Unlike traditional e-commerce stores that sell standardized products, every item is a one-of-a-kind piece sourced primarily from the UK and France. With a strong online presence and ambitious expansion plans, the company operates in a fast-paced environment driven by frequent inventory cycles and continuous discovery of distinctive historical items.

Schedule

  • Flexible during South Carolina business hours. (40 hours per week)

Independent Contractor Perks

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
  • Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations

Responsibilities

  • Photography Coordination: Process and organize high-volume product photos each month from professional antique product photo shoots.
  • Shopify Management: Create and optimize Shopify product listings for unique antique inventory.
  • Image Matching: Match high-quality product images with existing listings, ensuring accurate representation of condition and details.
  • Content Standardization: Maintain consistent formatting, titles, and descriptions across product listings.
  • Creative Design: Design Instagram Story slides using Canva templates to showcase featured products.
  • Multi-Channel Listing: Replicate listings across additional online marketplace platforms (e.g., Chairish) to expand product reach.
  • Workflow Management: Manage cyclical listing workflows as new container shipments arrive approximately every two months.
  • Operational Support: Assist with general e-commerce operations and inventory management tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of Shopify backend experience (specifically managing product listings, collections, and inventory).
  • Experience managing high volumes of product listings and product photography.
  • Proficiency with Canva for social media and marketing content creation, specifically Instagram.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications

  • Experience listing products on additional online marketplaces such as Chairish, Etsy, or eBay (Preferred).
  • Background or interest in antiques, vintage products, or collectibles (Highly Regarded).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce inventory workflows and product catalog management (Preferred).

Side Note

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
