Content & Community Marketing Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a Content & Community Marketing Specialist to take ownership of the company’s online presence and digital marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building brands from the ground up, creating engaging content, and driving measurable growth through social media, influencer partnerships, and email marketing.

You will be responsible for managing social media platforms, engaging with the community, coordinating influencer outreach, supporting content publishing, and tracking marketing performance. The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to help grow brand awareness, engagement, and sales.

Join an innovative functional beverage company that is transforming the health drink space with premium non-alcoholic beverages focused on wellness and natural ingredients. This early-stage startup recently launched and is rapidly building momentum with product lines designed for health-conscious consumers and active lifestyle enthusiasts.

You will work directly with the founder to help build the brand’s digital presence from the ground up, shaping how the company connects with its audience and grows its community online.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, flexible schedule during business hours (Australian Eastern Time, 20 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

  • Create, manage, and publish engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Develop and implement social media posting schedules and engagement strategies
  • Design graphics and edit short-form videos and reels to highlight product benefits
  • Schedule posts and manage publishing through Meta Business Suite
  • Repost influencer content and curate relevant content inspiration

Community Engagement

  • Respond to comments and direct messages across social platforms
  • Engage with followers and acknowledge customers who tag the brand
  • Interact with posts within the brand’s niche, including outdoor, adventure, hiking, surfing, mindfulness, and wellness communities

Influencer Outreach & Partnerships

  • Conduct daily outreach to micro-influencers to explore brand collaborations
  • Contact approximately 10–20 influencers per day
  • Maintain an organized tracking list of influencer outreach, including name, handle, follower count, niche, contact date, response, and notes
  • Target approximately 100 influencer contacts per week

Email Marketing

  • Assist with setting up and optimizing email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo
  • Support customer retention and engagement initiatives

Content Coordination

  • Support the organization and scheduling of social media content
  • Add captions, schedule reels, and manage content publishing
  • Contribute to maintaining a consistent posting cadence of 3–5 posts per week

Marketing Performance Monitoring

  • Track and record daily Meta advertising performance, including spend, clicks, and conversions
  • Monitor social media growth and engagement metrics
  • Provide recommendations for improving campaign performance

E-commerce Support

  • Monitor Shopify orders and check inventory levels
  • Respond to basic customer inquiries via email, such as shipping and product questions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing and social media management for consumer brands
  • Strong content creation skills, including graphic design and short-form video editing
  • Experience managing Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok platforms
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms, preferably Klaviyo
  • Ability to work independently and provide strategic marketing recommendations
  • Understanding of social media analytics and audience growth strategies
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
