Job Description
You’ll play a critical role in establishing the accounting systems and processes for a rapidly scaling consumer goods business from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your specialized knowledge of consumer goods and US retail relationships while building the financial infrastructure that will support major retail partnerships. You’ll work directly with a fractional executive team and have the autonomy to shape financial operations during this crucial go-to-market phase, with clear potential for role expansion as the business grows.
Schedule: 20 hours per week, flexible during Syndey, NSW business hours

Responsibilities
- Set up and implement QuickBooks accounting system from scratch for a multi-channel retail operation
- Integrate CIN7 inventory management system with QuickBooks to streamline operations
- Manage complex US retailer relationships including invoicing, deductions, and rebate processing
- Handle accounting across multiple sales channels: e-commerce, Amazon, TikTok, and physical retail stores
- Process accounts receivable, accounts payable, and perform accurate bank reconciliations
- Manage payroll processing for the growing team
- Oversee bank account management and daily financial operations
- Support financial modeling and reporting during critical launch phase
- Build scalable accounting processes that can grow with the business
Requirements
- Extensive experience with consumer goods accounting and financial operations
- Deep expertise working with major US retailers and understanding their complex trading relationships
- Strong knowledge of US accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience with retailer-specific processes including invoices, deductions, and rebate structures
- Proficiency in QuickBooks setup and management
- Solid bookkeeping and accounting background with hands-on experience
- Experience with inventory management systems (CIN7 experience is a bonus)
- Understanding of multi-channel retail operations across e-commerce and physical retail
- Ability to work independently and manage complex financial processes
- Bonus if you have experience with Amazon seller accounting or TikTok commerce
