We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to support daily operations and work alongside an existing medical assistant. This role focuses on patient-facing communications, administrative tasks, and learning comprehensive practice workflows to ensure operational continuity. Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage patient records, scheduling, and administrative updates with keen attention to detail.
- Learn and perform all tasks currently handled by the existing medical assistant to ensure operational redundancy.
- Communicate effectively with patients using clear, empathetic, and professional language.
- Collaborate with the existing team member and participate in training to understand full practice workflows.
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical or healthcare environment such as a clinic, hospital, or healthcare reception role.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with patients.
- Strong administrative skills including scheduling, record management, and handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Availability to work full-time hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Previous experience working in a psychiatric practice or mental health setting.
- HIPAA knowledge or certification related to patient privacy and healthcare compliance.
- Demonstrated long-term commitment in previous roles with a track record of reliability and consistency.
