Business Development Lead

Job Description:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth by securing new clients and building strong commercial relationships. This is a results-driven role requiring a proactive approach to sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to identify and convert opportunities. You will work closely with the business owner to expand market reach and support the growth of multiple business ventures.

Client Overview:

Support a growing Australian business group focused on expanding its client base and driving new revenue opportunities. This role is key to identifying, securing, and nurturing new business relationships across multiple business lines.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Australian Eastern Time, 40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
    • Generate leads and convert them into clients
    • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain relationships with new clients
    • Understand client needs and position services effectively
    • Negotiate and close deals to secure new business
  • Sales Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth
    • Conduct outreach through calls, emails, and networking
    • Track and report on sales activities and performance
  • Market Expansion
    • Identify new markets and opportunities for business growth
    • Support expansion across multiple business lines
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales performance

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar sales role
  • Strong track record of securing new clients and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong organisational and pipeline management skills
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets
  • Comfortable working remotely with consistent communication
