Job Description

You’ll serve as the essential bridge between an American family and their new life in Cebu City. This role combines the best of personal assistance with meaningful cultural translation work, where your local knowledge directly impacts a family’s successful international relocation. You’ll handle everything from accessibility-focused housing searches to school enrollment, while building the foundation for their long-term success in the Philippines. Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site property visits to assess wheelchair accessibility and document spaces with photos, videos, and floor plans
  • Research and coordinate housing options that meet specific accessibility requirements including bathroom modifications
  • Handle school enrollment and setup processes for a 14-year-old student
  • Source and coordinate hiring of reliable local housekeeper and driver
  • Assist with lease negotiations and contract processes, explaining cultural differences
  • Create comprehensive budgets for transition costs and ongoing living expenses
  • Coordinate accessibility modifications such as grab bars, ramps, and other necessary adaptations
  • Provide cultural guidance and explain differences between US and Philippine systems
  • Manage day-to-day logistics and coordination throughout the relocation timeline
  • Serve as local point of contact for urgent needs and problem-solving


Requirements

  • Must be physically located in Cebu City, Philippines with reliable transportation for property visits
  • Experience in personal assistance, administrative coordination, or similar client-facing role
  • Strong knowledge of local housing market, schools, and accessibility resources in Cebu
  • Excellent English communication skills with cultural sensitivity for international clients
  • Ability to travel throughout Cebu City for on-site assessments and coordination
  • Basic understanding of accessibility requirements and modification processes
  • Bonus if you have experience working with international relocations or accessibility needs
  • It helps if you’re familiar with lease negotiations and local contractor networks
