Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our client’s financial operations on a part-time basis. This role focuses on accurate data entry, invoice reconciliation, and maintaining organized financial records. The ideal candidate has experience working with Australian businesses and is comfortable managing high volumes of invoices, particularly at the beginning and end of each week.

Client Overview

Our client is a Brisbane-based commercial shopfitting company specializing in construction and fit-out projects. They deliver projects across offices, retail spaces, cafes, restaurants, mezzanines, and warehouses throughout the region.

Work Schedule:

• Monday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (with 1-hour unpaid break)
• Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (with 1-hour unpaid break)
• Thursday: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Timezone: Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate data entry for financial transactions and bookkeeping records
• Reconcile invoices and ensure all documentation is properly processed and filed
• Manage high volumes of incoming invoices, especially on Mondays and Fridays
• Maintain organized financial records using accounting software
• Complete assigned bookkeeping tasks within the scheduled work hours each week
• Ensure accuracy and consistency across all financial records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of bookkeeping experience
• Proven proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Experience working with Australian businesses and financial systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the commercial construction or shopfitting industry
• Ability to maintain consistency in the provided weekly schedule
