You will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential SME clients, initiating conversations through cold calls, and qualifying leads for the business owner to close. The client is a financial services provider specializing in foreign exchange and international payment solutions. They support small to medium-sized businesses in managing cross-border transactions with better exchange rates, efficient processing, and tailored service. Their focus is on helping SMEs reduce costs and streamline global payments.
Schedule

Monday - Friday (20 work hours per week)
Note: Flexible schedule within Monday to Friday; must overlap with Melbourne, Australia business hours.
Responsibilities
- Source and build targeted prospect lists of SMEs with international payment or foreign exchange needs
- Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to introduce services and generate interest
- Qualify leads based on business needs, transaction volume, and decision-making authority
- Schedule appointments for the business owner to close deals
- Track and manage all leads, call outcomes, and follow-ups using CRM tools or spreadsheets
- Maintain consistent daily outreach and call volume targets
- Follow up with prospects to nurture and convert into qualified opportunities
- Provide regular reports on activity, conversion rates, and pipeline progress
Requirements
- Proven experience in telemarketing, cold calling, or appointment setting (B2B preferred)
- Professional verbal communication skills with a confident and professional phone presence
- Ability to independently research and identify qualified prospects
- Resilient and comfortable handling objections and gatekeepers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing lead data
- Experience using CRM systems or spreadsheets for tracking outreach
- Background in financial services, foreign exchange, or B2B sales is highly preferred
