Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to spearhead a comprehensive cleanup of our QuickBooks Online account and transition into long-term weekly management. This vital role focuses on resolving historical discrepancies and fixing misapplied payments to ensure streamlined, tax-ready financial records for our growing team.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST (10 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Clean up and reconcile the existing QuickBooks Online account (fix duplicates, correct misapplied payments, and resolve discrepancies)
- Enter and categorize subcontractor invoices on a weekly basis
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts and credit cards
- Maintain clean, organized vendor and contractor records
- Generate accurate financial reports, including P&L statements
- Support and train internal staff on basic QuickBooks processes
- Initial focus on cleaning up historical records and unreconciled accounts
- Ongoing responsibility for weekly bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Ensure financial data is accurate and ready for tax reporting
- Guide the QuickBooks best practices to the internal team
Requirements
- Proven experience with QuickBooks Online (cleanup + reconciliation)
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable workflows
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies, ideally with subcontractors
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Part-time: 10-hours per week (40 hours/month) commitment
