Join our team as a proactive Sales Development Representative focused on driving growth for a UK-based bookkeeping firm. In this role, you will engage directly with accountancy firms and tradespeople, utilizing your B2B cold-calling expertise to build a robust sales pipeline through professional, consultative outreach.
Schedule: Part-time (Approximately 20 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound cold calls to accountancy firms and tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, painters, decorators) to generate new bookkeeping clients
- Follow up on calls with targeted emails to nurture leads and move them through the sales pipeline
- Manage and work through large pre-compiled contact lists systematically and efficiently
- Track all call outcomes, follow-ups, and lead statuses using spreadsheets
- Proactively suggest new outreach strategies and approaches to improve conversion rates
- Maintain a professional and consultative tone that represents the bookkeeping firm positively
Requirements
- Mid-level experience in B2B cold calling or telemarketing, ideally targeting small to medium businesses
- Strong verbal communication skills with a confident and professional phone manner
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain motivation throughout high-volume calling sessions
- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to work independently and bring new ideas to the role
- Experience with email follow-up and basic lead management processes
