Social Media Assistant (Skin Care Industry)

Work Schedule: 20hrs per week, Flexible within client's business hours 1pm to 9pm | Australian Eastern Time

Responsibilities

  • Edit and repurpose raw video content filmed by the client into polished, platform-specific posts for Instagram and YouTube
  • Manage and maintain a social media content calendar to ensure consistent scheduling and publishing across platforms
  • Upload media segments, photos, and content updates to the Squarespace website, particularly the media page
  • Monitor social media analytics and algorithms to inform content strategy and drive follower growth and engagement
  • Support the growth and management of the YouTube channel, including uploading TV segments and optimising content for the platform
  • Adapt content formats and editing styles to suit the requirements and trends of each platform

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media management and video editing for Instagram and YouTube
  • Familiarity with Squarespace for basic website updates, content uploads, and page maintenance
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, analytics, and audience engagement strategies
  • Ability to relate to and create content that resonates with a mature demographic
  • High level of attention to detail and strong visual storytelling skills
  • Ability to work independently and execute tasks with minimal supervision

Scope

  • Platforms include Instagram, YouTube, and Squarespace
  • Focus on supporting both the business brand (skincare studio and product line) and Ingrid's personal brand
  • Light website maintenance including uploading media clips, photos, and updating page layouts
  • Staying current with social media trends and editing techniques relevant to the beauty and skincare industry
  • Collaborating directly with the client to execute her content vision efficiently
