Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner to support field technicians through accurate and efficient service parts management. This role is heavily focused on Service Parts Technician Support and requires strong experience in supply chain administration, inventory coordination, and cross-functional communication. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and skilled at resolving parts-related issues that may impact service delivery.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST (with 30-minute unpaid break)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with field technicians to maintain accurate truck inventory by investigating and resolving parts discrepancies
- Manage the shipping, transferring, and receiving of service parts, ensuring items marked "in transit" are resolved for timely availability
- Review and process service tickets requiring parts, executing administrative tasks to ensure orders are completed within required timelines
- Create and submit purchase orders for vendors (e.g., Henny Penny, Franke, Taylor) while coordinating with suppliers to expedite orders and escalate delays
- Manage critical parts and Preventive Maintenance (PM) kit replenishments, reallocating inventory as needed to maintain stock levels
- Oversee the return of incorrect, damaged, or unused parts, ensuring supplier credits are tracked and properly recorded
- Investigate aged purchase orders and "Parts Investigation" tickets to correct root causes like backorders or system errors
- Perform inventory adjustments, documentation, and additional administrative supply chain tasks to support daily operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain administration, inventory management, or parts coordination
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support and collaborate with field technicians
- Experience processing service tickets, purchase orders, and inventory transfers
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and investigative skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting service technicians or field service operations
- Familiarity with inventory management or ERP systems
- Experience coordinating with suppliers and managing parts logistics
