Job Overview
Our client is seeking a results-driven and resilient Appointment Setter to support outbound lead generation efforts for a bookkeeping services business. This role is heavily focused on high-volume cold calling, rapid qualification, and booking appointments with small business owners—particularly within niche local markets. The ideal candidate has strong B2B outbound experience, can adhere to structured scripts, and consistently convert conversations into scheduled appointments.

Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM EST (20 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to smoke shops and local businesses in North Carolina using pre-qualified lead lists
- Execute concise (approximately 3-minute) discovery calls to uncover pain points related to bookkeeping and financial management
- Ask targeted qualifying questions (e.g., ownership status, current bookkeeping processes, financial challenges)
- Identify qualified prospects and successfully schedule appointments via booking tools (e.g., Calendly)
- Direct interested prospects to the company’s website or booking link for appointment confirmation
- Accurately collect and log prospect information, including email addresses and contact details
- Follow a structured call script (6–7 key lines) to ensure messaging consistency and efficiency
- Utilize power dialer/predictive dialer systems to maximize daily call volume and productivity
- Handle objections in real time and maintain composure when facing rejection
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B cold calling and appointment setting, preferably targeting small businesses
- Proven track record in outbound lead generation with strong objection handling and conversational agility
- Professional English communication and rapport-building skills with a clear, neutral accent
- Proficiency in using power dialers, CRM systems, and scheduling tools (e.g., Calendly)
- High level of emotional resilience, discipline in script adherence, and the ability to manage rejection effectively
- Strong time management skills with the ability to maintain productivity in high-volume environments
- Exceptional attention to detail regarding data capture and prospect follow-through
- Familiarity with bookkeeping or financial services is an advantage
