Overview:
Bring your design expertise to life as a Millwork Design Engineer (Cabinetry), where you'll bridge the gap between creative vision and CNC production. This role lets you lead client-facing design consultations and ensure every custom kitchen layout is technically sound and ready for manufacturing.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, (Eastern Business hours) 40 hours/week
Responsibilities:
- Design custom kitchen cabinetry layouts using CAD software (KCD software preferred - https://kcdsoftware.com/)
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand design requirements, preferences, and space constraints
- Present design concepts, revisions, and final layouts to clients
- Translate client requirements into accurate, production-ready designs
- Ensure designs align with manufacturing capabilities and CNC processes
- Generate detailed drawings, specifications, and cut lists
- Revise designs based on client feedback and project requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production
- Maintain organized documentation for all projects
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cabinetry design, millwork design, or a similar field
- Proficiency in KCD Software (strongly preferred) or similar CAD tools
- Experience working with CNC machine software or CNC-based production workflows
- Strong understanding of kitchen layouts, materials, and cabinetry construction
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (client-facing experience required)
- High attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- We are looking for someone full-time to start in May ASAP.
