Business Development & Account Manager (B2B)

Role Overview:

As a Business Development & Account Manager, you will be the driving force behind our growth in the UK B2B waste sector. We provide specialist recycling solutions—ranging from hazardous chemicals and lithium batteries to electronic waste (WEEE)—to clients in manufacturing, construction, automotive, and more.

This is a fast-paced "360-degree" role. You will be responsible for hunting new business, responding to technical inbound enquiries, and nurturing your wins into long-term, high-value key accounts.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (UK Time, 35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the journey from initial prospecting and cold-calling to final service delivery and ongoing account management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new business enquiries (phone and web form), providing rapid, professional quotes for complex waste streams.
  • Proactively identify businesses across the UK that require compliant waste solutions and convert them into repeat customers.
  • Work closely with existing clients to audit their waste needs, ensuring they utilize our full range of services (e.g., transitioning a client from simple cardboard recycling to complex hazardous waste disposal).
  • Maintain a high daily output of quotes, CRM updates, and follow-up calls in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Educate clients on UK waste legislation (Duty of Care, Hazardous Waste Regulations) to ensure their collections are fully compliant.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven background in B2B sales or account management. Experience in waste management, logistics, or industrial services is a significant advantage.
  • An elite level of written and spoken English. You must be comfortable discussing technical disposal methods with operations managers and directors.
  • You enjoy the challenge of calling new prospects and turning a "no" into a "yes."
  • Able to juggle a high volume of diverse tasks daily without losing attention to detail—crucial for managing hazardous waste documentation.
  • Ability to understand a client's specific sector (e.g., Agriculture vs. Engineering) and offer the right recycling equipment or collection service.
