Waterproofing Estimator (PlanSwift)

Job Overview

Our client is a growing waterproofing company based in North Carolina. To support their expanding project volume, they are seeking a mid-level Waterproofing Estimator to join their team on a full-time remote basis. This is a critical role where you will take ownership of estimating for small to medium-sized projects, allowing the business owner to focus on large-scale estimates. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established firm and directly contribute to their continued success and scaling efforts in the North Carolina market.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for small to medium-sized waterproofing projects using specialized software.
  • Plan Review: Thoroughly review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the precise scope of work and material requirements.
  • Project Support: Handle the end-to-end estimation process for smaller projects to alleviate the workload of the senior leadership team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the business owner to align on project requirements, pricing strategies, and estimation processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous and organized records of all estimates, bid documents, and project-related correspondence.
  • Technical Analysis: Identify potential project risks or specific waterproofing challenges within the plans and account for them in the bidding process.

Requirements

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience as an estimator within the waterproofing or general construction industry.
  • Software Proficiency: High level of proficiency in estimating software such as PlanSwift or similar industry-standard platforms.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings with high accuracy.
  • Availability: Ability to work consistent full-time hours aligned with the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate seamless remote collaboration with the US-based team.

Qualifications

  • Specific, hands-on experience with PlanSwift software is highly preferred.
  • A strong background in specialized waterproofing or related construction sectors (e.g., roofing, masonry, or foundation repair).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to precision in data entry and financial calculations.
