Role Overview
The HR Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR function, ensuring efficient onboarding, accurate record-keeping, and responsive employee support. This role requires strong English communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Houston, TX Time with a 1-hour unpaid break
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Recruitment
- Post job advertisements across platforms
- Screen resumes and coordinate interview scheduling
- Assist in organizing and facilitating new hire onboarding
Data Management
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems
- Ensure accuracy and organization of all HR documentation
- Handle filing and record-keeping in compliance with policies
Employee Support
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and policies
- Act as a liaison between employees and management
- Support basic employee relations concerns
Administrative Support
- Prepare HR-related documents and reports
- Assist with internal events and HR initiatives
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working with HR systems, spreadsheets, and digital tools
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in HR, recruitment, or administrative support
- Familiarity with HRIS or employee management systems
- Experience supporting remote teams is a plus
