Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Landscape Architecture Drafter to support the production of high-quality concept plans and detailed design drawings for residential development projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical drafting expertise, a keen design eye, and the ability to translate creative direction into precise, presentation-ready outputs.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week (flexible during New Zealand business hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Produce concept plans and detailed design drawings for residential developments using ArchiCAD
- Translate design briefs, markups, and sketches into accurate CAD drawings
- Prepare visual renders and presentation materials using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Explore and utilize AI-based rendering tools to enhance design outputs
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to design standards across all deliverables
- Collaborate with the design team to refine plans based on feedback and project needs
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting, ideally within landscape architecture or a related field
- Strong proficiency in ArchiCAD
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Familiarity with AI rendering tools is a plus
- High attention to detail and ability to produce precise technical drawings
Scope of Work
- Drafting and detailing plans for residential development projects (beyond single residential homes)
- Supporting the design team from concept through to detailed plan production
- Producing high-quality renders and visual presentations as required
- Working within established design standards, systems, and workflows
