Job Overview
We are seeking a driven Outbound Sales Representative to lead high-volume cold calling efforts for a growing compliance software startup. This role focuses on generating and qualifying leads, building pipeline, and refining outreach strategies alongside the founder. You will manage CRM activity, handle objections, and nurture prospects through early sales stages. Ideal candidates are resilient, self-motivated, and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Schedule: M-F EST 9-5
Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to prospective clients using provided scripts and messaging
- Identify and qualify leads to build a healthy sales pipeline for the compliance software product
- Accurately log all call activity, outcomes, and prospect details in the company's CRM system
- Collaborate with the founder to refine outreach scripts and improve conversion strategies
- Follow up with prospects to nurture interest and move them through the early stages of the sales funnel
- Provide regular updates and feedback on call performance, lead quality, and market response
Requirements:
- Proven experience in outbound cold calling and lead generation in a B2B environment
- Strong spoken English with clear articulation and a professional phone presence
- Ability to quickly learn and confidently communicate the value of a new software product
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and maintain consistent call volume
- Strong objection-handling skills and resilience in high-rejection outreach scenarios
Scope:
- Execute outbound calling campaigns targeting prospects for compliance software
- Support the founder in scaling the outbound sales function from the ground up
- Utilize the company's soft phone system and CRM to manage daily calling activities
- Adapt quickly to script changes and new product messaging as the startup evolves
- Contribute to the development of best practices for outbound outreach processes
