Role Overview
We are seeking a Financial Controller / Operations Finance Analyst to support financial management, reporting, and operational decision-making. This is a hands-on role focused on budgeting, financial reporting, job costing, and financial analysis, with a strong connection between finance and day-to-day business operations.
The ideal candidate is experienced in financial systems, highly analytical, and confident working with both accounting data and operational platforms such as QuickBooks and similar service-based software systems like ServiceTitan.
This role goes beyond bookkeeping and requires someone who can help interpret financial data to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Schedule: Part-time (20 hours a week) Flexible Mon-Fri
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports including profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Perform job costing and track profitability across services and projects
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Maintain structured financial records and reporting systems in QuickBooks
- Manage reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process and organize invoices, vendor payments, and expense categorization
- Collaborate with operations teams to align financial and operational data
- Work within ServiceTitan (or similar systems) to support operational workflows
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Strong background in accounting, finance, or business operations (CPA or equivalent experience preferred)
- Experience with ServiceTitan highly preferred
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks
- Experience with job costing and service-based business financials
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar operational platforms (or ability to learn quickly)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial insights
