Overview
A fast-growing organization in the faith-based media and community space is seeking a Social Media Manager who can do far more than schedule posts. This role is designed for someone who understands how to translate vision into impactful digital content, drive measurable results, and operate as a fully integrated member of an existing team.
This is a performance-driven position where accountability, consistency, and strategic thinking are essential. You will be responsible for shaping and executing social media direction that aligns with broader organizational goals, not just maintaining content calendars.
Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday On-Call, Bay Shore, NY with 1-hour unpaid break (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week) EST
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with organizational vision and objectives
- Translate leadership direction into clear, engaging, and platform-appropriate content
- Manage day-to-day social media operations across multiple platforms
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure messaging consistency and alignment
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize content based on data and insights
- Ensure consistent delivery of content within set quotas and deadlines
- Identify trends, opportunities, and audience behaviors to improve engagement and reach
- Maintain brand voice, tone, and messaging across all digital touchpoints
- Report on performance outcomes and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management or digital content strategy for at least 5 years (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Strong understanding of major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to translate abstract ideas or vision into clear, engaging content
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet quotas and deadlines consistently
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting performance metrics
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-integrated environment
- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
- High level of accountability and ownership over results
