Job Overview
We are looking for a Video Editor & Motion Graphics Specialist with a strong focus on storytelling. The ideal candidate understands pacing, narrative structure, and how to craft compelling edits using interviews, B-roll, and natural transitions. This role is ideal for someone who prioritizes the story and flow of content rather than relying heavily on graphics.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM MT, 1 hour of unpaid break
Client Timezone: Mountain Time (MT)
Responsibilities
- Edit video content including interviews, marketing videos, and social media content
- Build compelling narratives through pacing, sequencing, and visual storytelling
- Select and integrate B-roll to support narrative flow
- Sync audio, color correct footage, and improve overall video quality
- Add motion graphics, titles, and light visual effects when appropriate
- Collaborate with creative teams to bring concepts and scripts to life
- Ensure videos are optimized for different platforms such as YouTube and social media
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Strong storytelling and narrative editing skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar tools
- Experience editing interview-style content and documentary-style footage
- Understanding of pacing, timing, and emotional flow in video
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience creating motion graphics and animated titles
- Basic sound design and color grading experience
- Familiarity with social media video formats and content strategies
