Cold Calling Business Development Representative

Job Description:

You’ll be the voice that opens doors to major commercial opportunities, conducting strategic outbound calls to identify and qualify prospects for high-value interior design and fit-out projects. This isn’t typical cold calling – you’ll be engaging with senior executives and decision-makers about their workspace plans, representing a respected firm with a track record of delivering substantial projects. You’ll work with established systems and proven processes while having the opportunity to impact pipeline growth and business expansion directly.

Client Overview:

A well-established interior architecture and project management firm specializing in high-value workplace design and fit-out projects across the UK. They work with corporate clients on substantial projects ranging from £500,000 to multi-million-pound engagements, with a strong focus on the lucrative central London market. The company has a proven business development process and sophisticated CRM infrastructure to support growth.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (GMT, 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct targeted outbound calls to tenants in commercial leased spaces across the UK market
  • Engage professionally with C-level executives (CEOs, CFOs, COOs) to understand their property and workspace planning needs
  • Identify and qualify genuine opportunities for interior architecture and fit-out projects worth £500k+
  • Uncover business development opportunities through strategic questioning and relationship building
  • Schedule qualified meetings and handoffs for the client relations team to pursue
  • Maintain accurate prospect records and activity tracking in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Work systematically through the provided call lists to maximize outreach efficiency and coverage
  • Represent the company brand professionally in all prospect interactions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in B2B cold calling and business development activities
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage senior-level executives professionally
  • Experience working with CRM systems, a bonus if you’ve used Microsoft Dynamics specifically
  • Resilience and persistence in outbound calling, with the ability to handle rejection positively
  • It helps if you have experience in the construction, property, or professional services sectors
  • Strong qualifications and discovery skills to identify genuine business opportunities
  • Professional demeanor and confidence representing a premium service brand
