Overview
Elevate your career as a proactive Systems Engineer, where you will transition from technical execution to true project ownership and leadership. We are looking for a technically confident professional to manage complex workloads, lead multi-month initiatives, and serve as the vital escalation point for our IT operations.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am - 6pm MST time
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve daily support tickets across multiple IT domains
- Serve as the primary engineer on active projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Act as an escalation point for Help Desk/NOC teams
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and remote sessions
- Document, track, and update all support activities in the ticketing system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Follow best practices and internal standards for all implementations
- Contribute to process improvements and system optimizations
Requirements
Core Technical Requirements
- Operating Systems: Windows (desktop & server); macOS and Linux (enterprise-level familiarity)
- Identity & Access Management: Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID; Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Cloud & SaaS: Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams); Azure and AWS (IaaS fundamentals); Endpoint management (Intune or similar)
- Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Azure/AWS virtualization; VDI, RDS, Citrix environments
- Storage & Data: SMB, NFS, DFS; SAN, hyperconverged, and cloud storage
- Networking: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching; DNS, DHCP, NTP; Firewalls, VPNs, wireless networking
- Security: TLS, VPN, disk encryption; PKI and certificate management; Endpoint security best practices
- Backup & Recovery: Backup and disaster recovery strategies; Tools like Veeam or similar
- Remote Access: VPN, ZTNA/SASE; Remote desktop and virtual workspace solutions
