Schedule: 9am to 6pm Winnipeg, CA

Responsibilities

  • Receive audio and video files for transcription via online platforms
  • Transcribe legal recordings into accurate, verbatim transcripts using Microsoft Word
  • Edit and proofread transcripts to ensure correct grammar, spelling, and legal formatting standards
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all documents
  • Communicate promptly with the employer regarding unclear audio, errors, or inconsistencies
  • Organize and manage files systematically
  • Submit completed transcripts and associated files in a timely manner

Requirements Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in legal transcription and proofreading
  • Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
  • Extensive experience in typing and transcribing from audio sources
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain precision under tight deadlines
  • Patient, disciplined, and committed to high-quality output

Preferred Traits

  • Prior experience working with legal documents (depositions, consultations, interviews)
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and formatting standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
