Business Development Representative – Phone-Based
About The Role
We are seeking a confident and resilient Business Development Representative to join our growing sales team. This is a phone-first position focused on outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline building.
Your primary responsibility will be to make high-volume outbound calls to prospects, engage them in genuine conversations about their business needs, and qualify suitable candidates for product demonstrations. You will work closely with our Sales Director, handing over warm, qualified leads ready for the next stage of our sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Make 60–75 outbound calls per day across a 5-day working week
Qualify prospects through consultative conversations and book demo slots when appropriate
Manage and maintain a robust follow-up pipeline, scheduling callbacks at agreed intervals and executing them reliably
Record all call outcomes and prospect information accurately in our CRM system
Assist with data cleaning and validation to improve the quality of our prospect database
Build and maintain an active LinkedIn presence to support brand awareness and generate additional outreach opportunities
What We're Looking For
Comfortable and confident making high volumes of cold and warm outbound calls
A clear, professional telephone manner with a natural, conversational communication style
Resilience and persistence – you view rejection as an opportunity to follow up later, not a dead end
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage large numbers of follow-ups without dropping balls
An active or willing-to-develop LinkedIn presence to build credibility in your target market
Experience working in staffing, recruitment, or B2B SaaS environments is advantageous but not essential
Comfortable using CRM platforms and working independently in a remote environment
What Success Looks Like
Hitting your daily call targets of 60–75 dials consistently across each week
Building a steadily growing pipeline of qualified, booked demos for our Sales Director
Maintaining a well-organised follow-up diary where every warm prospect is contacted on schedule
Growing your LinkedIn profile and establishing yourself as a credible voice in your target industry
